Those oil sands in Canada are a disastrous project. It mentions that it has the potential to be the large crude oil source next to Saudi Arabia, I question that. Logically speaking this project by Shell and the other minority companies involved are most likely paying high production costs that are feeding on their revenue. Why continue working on such a hazardous project? Think about it, the world is moving away from crude oil. Green technology isn't keeping up pace with energy demand, but companies like Exxon are converting most of their infrastructure to accommodate natural gas because its cheaper and cleaner not to mention abundant. Oh and Brazil just stumbled on some oil of its coast, another reason why those oil sands are a dumb idea.
