ASLA - the Dirt

  1. This a book cover? "Living smaller, living cleaner, driving less are the keys to sustainability" sounds like the European way of life. To be candid, monographs of such a topic are full of theoretical ideas but lack practicality. From that subtitle I get the idea that Owen's is against consumerism. Hence, less tax revenue, less job opportunities, and a stagnation in overall economic output on a global level (at least when it comes to American consumerism). The basic rule of supply and demand apply to realistic sociological development, such as in this case. To ignore that simple principle is to lack a coherent understanding of what is possible and what is a egalitarian fantasy.
